  • What is STRIDE?
STRIDE is a high octane VR game which fuses parkour and combat to create one of the most nail-biting virtual reality experiences available. Joy Way wants to put players in the shoes of a master free-runner as they vault, swing, roll, and shoot through an intense, action-packed adventure.
  • What are STRIDE key features?
    • Advanced vertical gameplay and running mechanics.
The game glorifies freedom of movement through a smooth locomotion system based on the player's physical movements.
Players can grab ledges, jump from roof to roof, perform wall-runs, slide down cables, swing from hooks, ...
    • Algorithmically generated levels of increasing complexity provide a high level of replayability for regular players and endless challenges for competitive players (who are aiming for high scores and top positions). Some players spend 50+ hours in the game, honing their parkour skills.
    • Gameplay-reasoned visual style.
Monochrome buildings in a futuristic metropolis with brightly colored key elements not only allow the player to navigate effortlessly, but also help prevent sensory overload and vertigo.
  • What modes are currently available?
Endless is a mode with endless path generation and a prodding wall, essentially a moving wall that forces the player to move faster and faster as the difficulty increases. The player runs through 5 difficulty levels from the easiest, or "Harmless", to the most difficult, "EXPERT". As the wall begins to move faster, snipers shoot more often and drones drop more bombs. It's quite an adrenaline rush!

Time Run is a pure parkour mode. The task is to get to the finish line as quickly as possible, competing with players from all over the world for the best time and setting records to attain leaderboard status. There are no opponents in this mode, so players can train at a more relaxed pace and explore locations in search of the optimal path. We think players will enjoy this more relaxed version of the STRIDE experience, but will also find something exciting in the competition for landing in the leaderboard.

Arena - a mode that takes place in a realistic, procedurally generated city, on the roofs over which you can move freely. The player's task is to complete quests within a set amount of time. "Chain" - run through the points, "collect" - collect all cases, and "kill all" - eliminate all opponents. In addition to the danger of falling, and the pressure of the ticking timer, the enemy fighters shooting to kill will add to the thrill. Over time, the more quests are completed, the timer for the next quest becomes less and less, and the bots shoot harder and harder.

Horde - a multiplayer mode, where players take on the role of zombies or non-infected survivors. Survivors must avoid being touched by infected zombie players, while zombies must infect as many survivors as possible within the allotted time. The main gameplay focus is on action packed parkour chases and escapes. The players must utilize their VR parkour skills to jump from ledges, dive under obstacles, and slide down cables to avoid infection or take down the remaining survivors.

King of the Hill - a multiplayer mode, in which you need to grab a crown and wear it longer than other players to win. The crown goes to the player who tagged you.

  • Will a workshop be added?
